NCM battery market accounted for more than 30%, According to preliminary research data from the high-tech Lithium Battery Research Institute (GGII), China's lithium battery shipments in 2024Q1 were 200GWh, an increase of 18%. Among them, power and energy storage battery shipments were 149GWh and 40GWh, respectively, an increase of 19% and 14% year-on-year.

According to the technical route, the shipments of 2024Q1 NCM batteries are 47GWh, accounting for 32% of the power batteries, an increase of 2.6 percentage points from 2023.

The growth rate of the four main materials exceeded 20%, and the output of lithium batteries is greater than the shipment volume.

According to GGII research data, 2024Q1 China's positive electrode material shipments 574,000 tons, an increase of 23%. Among them, 370,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate materials were shipped, 156,000 tons of NCM materials were shipped, 20,000 tons of lithium cobalt acid materials were shipped, and 28,000 tons of lithium manganese acid materials were shipped.

2024Q1 China's diaphragm shipments of 3.9 billion square, an increase of 25%. Among them, the dry diaphragm shipped 900 million square, and the wet diaphragm shipped 3 billion square.

2024Q1 China's negative electrode material shipments of 410,000 tons, an increase of 21%. Among them, the shipment of artificial graphite and natural graphite materials was 337,000 tons and 75,000 tons, respectively.
